CHEER 2008!!!

Yeah, so the title explains itself. Cheer 2008 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium. So, I wasn't there to check out the competition on the first day, since it was too damn early to watch Shirtliff's performance which was the first, and it was supposedly supposed to start at 8.30 AM. Yes, you read that right. A-goddamn-M; AM...

So, I attended the 2nd day, which was on Sunday, got up at 8.15AM, left the house at 8.45. My mom missed a junction so we had to find a very long way to get our asses to Bukit Jalil, but she made it. Reached the at 9.15AM, so I was worried I missed the first performance, so I rushed into the stadium and headed straight for the SBU's supporter's side, just to see the thing didn't even start yet, in fact they were even making announcements to ask teams to register. I mean seriously, you perform on Saturday, and you're asked to register on Sunday? Wtf?

Yeah, so I sat down at the second row from the front, and I saw the Shirtliff cheerleaders up front at the VIP seating area, Jehan spots me and calls me over excitedly, I come up to her, give her a little pep talk, and she tells me her performance is at 4.30PM, I mean seriously, wtf Jehan... Apparently they switch the order upside down, completely opposite to the order of the first day.

And yeah, the performances started, sat there with a stupid look on my face as I watched the teams from schools far away. Some from Ipoh, some from Pulau Pinang. I mean wow, talk about dedication.

So, I looked around, the indian couple sitting two chairs away from me kept going in and out, I swear I almost developed a leg cramp from shifting to accommodate their rather large stature.

After lunch, I decided to get some food after sitting there 5 hours, waiting for everyone to get back inside the stadium, so I wouldn't have to fight the rush to get food, I climb the stairs and I hear someone holler at me, it was Cyrus, Jehan's bro. He asked me where Jehan was and I told him that she was getting ready to perform. So yeah, he sat back down and I kept climbing, and I hear another holler. It was M, she calls my name out, she was sitting a few rows behind from Cyrus. I smile and talk to her, then head out for lunch.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Stadium food is grotesque and disgusting. AND BLOODY EXPENSIVE. I can get a bottle of 100PLUS for RM1.50, they sold it for a good RM3... I mean seriously, what a rip-off, AND IT WASN'T EVEN COLD!!! GRR!!

So, after eating the crap they sold, I went back inside and found out that my seat had been stolen by a bunch of stuck-up girls who blindly ignores my bag-pack that I put in my seat to signify that THE SEAT IS OCCUPIED!!! HELLO!!! They move it and sit down, putting my bag on the stairs. Geez.

So I grab my bag, and I get an sms from M, asking me where I'm going, I said I didn't have anywhere to sit, so she says that there's an empty seat next to her, and she politely asked me to sit next to her. So I spend the next 20 minutes trying to ACTUALLY FIND HER. She didn't stay at where she was previously, and moved. So I had to find her. After a bunch of frustrating messages to find out her exact position, I found her and sat next to her, and next to me, sat Hajar. Hahah, lucky. I haven't seen both of them in a while, it gave me a chance to catch up on things.

Alright, the performances continued. I kept teasing M and she kept pinching me, painful la... Haha. So, as the show moved on I held her hand. And she accepted. It was really cute, so for the next couple of hours were a breeze, just sitting there laughing with her.

Anyway, up to the end of the show, she clutched my hand really tight, nervous about who will be crowned champion. It was SHIRTLIFF!! WOO GOOD JOB SHIRTLIFF!!! But I was embarrassed since I didn't wear any of Shirtliff's colors. I wore purple and blue. lol, way off right?

So, I said my goodbyes to M, and went down to the center of the stadium to congratulate Jehan. I got ignored as she cried and posed for the cameras. =.=. I left happily, as I sms-ed M on the way home.
